FADS Fun Sticks, once known as FAGS and FADS, are a brand of candy cigarette made by ''Riviera Confectionery'' (a division of ''Fyna Foods Australia'') in Victoria, Australia. First made in 1943, they were renamed to FADS in the 1990s after political correctness pressured them to be renamed due to not only the now offensive name (which previously only meant "cigarettes" in Australian slang) but due to the promotion of real cigarettes to children (via the candy's look) as well. The candy's appearance looked like a skinny stick of white chalk with a red tip as a fake lit end. After the 1990s, the candy was made without the red tip, the box's name changed to FADS and soon after (approximately 2000s) added "Fun Sticks" to distance itself further away from cigarettes.
